l'Aquila di Hemingway




L’Aquila era una magnifica città. D’estate la notte faceva fresco e la primavera degli Abruzzi era la più bella d’Italia. Ma quello che mi piaceva di più era l’autunno per andare a caccia nei boschi di castagni [tratto da Addio alle armi, Ernest Hemingway].


Aquila was a fine town. It was cool in the summer at night and the spring in Abruzzi was the most beautiful in Italy. But what was lovely was the fall to go hunting through the chestnut woods [A Farewell to the Arms, by Ernest Hemingway].
